Stationery Box

A friend of mine made a Stationery Box for a friend and I knew that I just had to make one, too. : ) The paper is KP Blossom by K&Co. I used Vintage Photo Distress Ink on all the edges. I think the flowers are from Prima, the button is from my stash, and the stick pin is from a swap.

When you take the lid off, the front of the box folds down. In the tutorial there is an address book, stamp holder, and pen holder on the inside front. I didn't care for that, so I found a poem about friendship and put that on the inside instead.

Below is a close up of all the goodies in the box. It holds 4-A2 sized cards with envelopes, 4-3"x3" cards with vellum envelopes, and 4 tags.

The cards are basically the same. I used a SU! stamp for the sentiment. The background strip is punched with an EK Success border punch and layered with a piece of coordinating patterned paper.

The tags are 2.25"x3". I used Prima flowers and the buttons and ric-rack are from my stash. Sorry the second set is blurry!

These little 3"x3" cards were made with a word sheet that was part of the paper pack. I just cut out the ones I liked and made cute little cards. I was finally able to use those vellum envelopes I have had in my stash for so long! LOL

Challenge Me Monday #123 (and #121!)

The theme for this week's challenge at Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog is "Cool Off." We were to make a water themed project using a cricut cartridge. I'm in the process of finishing up my wedding album (2.5 years later!) and this page from our honeymoon is perfect for this week.

We took a cruise for our honeymoon and one of the excursions we did was snorkeling. The cricut cuts are from Life's a Beach (snorkel guy, coral, and wave across the bottom). I'm not sure of the size.I borrowed the cartridge from someone about 2 years ago and cut the items and put them in an envelope with the pictures. The sea shells, sea horse, and message in a bottle are from K&Co.

The Challenge Me Monday #121 was wedded bliss. Even though I didn't get my pics posted in time, I still wanted to share them. I used Paper Doll Dress up and cut the bride and groom at 4". After looking at the picture for a few minutes I realized that I didn't put anything behind the eyes. Oops! Just another reason I need to get some Peachy Keen Stamps! LOL
