Wedding Mini Album

I tried a new type of mini album for a wedding gift. It's called a "wallet album" and you can find a tutorial here. There are 7 videos that go over everything you need to know! The finished size is just over 6" square and about 1/2" deep.

All the cardstock is Bazill. The patterned paper is from the Black & Ivory Fusion stack by K & Co. The embellishments are Jolee and K & Co. The silver ribbon is some Christmas ribbon from my stash. I also used an EK Sucess Border Punch, but I'm not sure which one. Sorry!

Cricut Cartridges Used:
Fabulous Finds (pull tabs)
Bags, Tags, Boxes & More (tags)
Preserves (tags)
Songbird (large "fancy" photo mats)

Here is a picture of the closed album.

Here is a video, also. Now, don't laugh at the video or I shall ban you from my blog! LOL

OWH Sketch #93

This card is doing triple duty today! This is for the OWH Sketch #93. It's my sample for a card kit swap I am in. AND This card is going with a homemade dinner to a woman in my Sunday School class that is having surgery this week.

The paper is DCWV stack. I'm not sure which one...Sorry! The buttons and ribbon are from my stash.

OWH Sketch #84

OWH Sketch #84

Paper is a very old DCWV Spring Stack. The digi is a freebie from Doodle Pantry.

I couldn't get the knot on my ribbon to lay just right. This is why I normally use wired ribbon! LOL

(I just noticed that I was holding my camera crooked! )

OWH Sketch #89

OWH Sketch #89

Paper is DejaViews. The pink ribbon is from a swap. The rickrack I picked up at a booth at CKC-Charlotte in August. The digi is from Paula.

The pink ribbon card is for personal use and the rick rack card is for my OWH box.

OWH Sketch #90

This simple card is made from OWH Sketch #90 and this cute Flower Bear that I picked up from Beccy.

The paper is DejaViews and the ribbon came to me in a swap. I colored the bear with colored pencils. When I opened the box of pencils, there was NO brown. I had to go raid the kids' art stash to find a brown pencil!

Strawberry Time!

Challenge Me Monday #70 at the Fantabulous Cricut is to create a project with a melon or another sort of fruit. I made strawberries.

My Craft Spot Monday Challenge #18 is "Emboss it!" I embossed the strawberries with my Cuttlebug.

I used the Preserves cartridge and cut the strawberries as embellishments for this layout. I'm not sure about the size, but I think it was somewhere around 3" for the big one, and 1" for the little one on my journaling. I put the strawberries through the Cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots embossing folder. I used a flower & jewels from my stash for the blossoms. The green cardstock is Core'dinations and the strawberry paper was just loose paper at JoAnn's, not sure of the brand, the red is DCWV. I used an EK Success border punch (not sure which one) to punch the border above and below the strawberry paper. I used PageMaps May 2011 sketch.

SNOW Word Book

I am posting this for my friend, Rose. I know she would love to see it in person!

I used a tutorial from the old Cricut message board to help me make this book.
http://www.cricut.com/messageboard/tm.aspx?m=5058427&mpage=1&key&#5058427

I used George & Basic Shapes and Base Camp to cut the book. I made the book back in February 2011, so I'm not sure of the size, but I think it was cut at 5". The pictures are from January 2011, but I just got them scrapped last week.

The paper is from a stack I got at WalMart about 8 years ago. The embellishments are K& Co.

On the page that has the journaling...I messed up. That dark blue mat in the back was supposed to be a pocket, but I didn't cut my tags quite narrow enough. So, I just clipped them together at the top with a brad and glued the last one down. They rotate out so you can read the tags in the middle and back.

OWH 4th of July Party-Challenge #4

What Does Freedom Mean To You?

OWH Sketch 76.
Paper is probably DCWV. I got it from my stash. It has been there for a looooong time!
The Statue of Liberty was a free digi from Create with TLC. I printed it at about 3.5" tall and cut it out at about 4" tall.
The circle is 3.75". In retrospect, the next time I use this sketch, I'm going to cut the circle at 4" as the sketch suggests.

BBTB2: Gnome Challenge

Well, I don't have the Freshly picked cartridge for the gnome. I wish I had it, though! It's definitely on my wish list! An alternative option was one of the elves off of Jolly Holidays, so that's what I used. I recently scrapped my Christmas pictures. I got Jolly Holidays as a Christmas gift, so I thought it was appropriate to use on a Christmas page! I'm not sure of the size, and the paper is from my stash. It's probably DCWV, though. I added some Martha Stewart snow glitter on the top of the tree, the snow mound on the ground, and  the little elf's hat.

OWH #67 & My Craft Spot Monday Challenge #6

These are my Mother's Day cards for this year.

The sketch is my take on OWH #67. I made a pocket for my tag instead of tying it on the ribbon. I did some sewing on my card for the first time. :0) The paper is some embossed vellum from K & Company that I have had for years!
